Today, we continue our journey through The Tarot Card Story, stepping into the deeper cosmic turning points of the Major Arcana. Having established our core values, forward momentum, and inner strength, our Fool now steps onto the solitary path to discover their personal truth, embrace the cyclical nature of life, and align with universal balance.

Over the coming weeks, we will travel through the 22 milestones of the Major Arcana, exploring three cards each week to see how they weave into a single, beautiful narrative. Once our journey through the Major Arcana is complete, we will step into the Minor Arcana to unlock the elemental secrets of the Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles.

This series is deeply close to my heart because I will be guiding you using preliminary, "not-quite-finished" glimpses of my very own creation: The Practical Magick Tarot Deck by Moonwind Fairy.

To make this deck uniquely magical, I am using the faces of my own loved ones as the archetypes. The artistic style blends a realistic Celtic era with whimsical, enchanting elements. As we look at each card, we will explore its High Energy (its positive attributes and gifts) and its Low Energy (the difficult aspects needing healing or awareness).

The Concept: The Journey of the Fool

At its heart, the Tarot is the story of The Journey of the Fool, a metaphorical tapestry representing the entire human life cycle. Beginning with the complete innocence of the Fool (0) and culminating with the integration of the World (21), this journey shows us how we encounter archetypes, learn vital life lessons, and evolve our souls.

🎨 Card 9: The Hermit

The Hermit symbolizes deep introspection, soul-searching, inner guidance, and the deliberate search for your true purpose. He arrives as a gentle call to pause, stepping back from the noise and pressure of daily life to illuminate your path from within.

High Energy: Deep introspection, ancestral wisdom, peaceful solitude, inner reflection, spiritual enlightenment, and clear soul purpose.
Low Energy: Lack of trust, feeling lonely or isolated, antisocial withdrawal, feeling like an outcast, and spiritual disconnection.

The Medicine: When The Hermit shines his lantern in your reading, his message is clear: step back from the busy world, quiet external distractions, and look inward to uncover your own truth, wisdom, and clarity.

The Hermit’s Mantra: "I quiet the noise of the world to hear the wisdom of my own soul."

🎨 Card 10: The Wheel of Fortune

As the tenth milestone in the Major Arcana, The Wheel of Fortune represents destiny, inevitable life cycles, and divine alignment. It signals a major turning point, unexpected good fortune, and a cosmic reminder that life is constantly in motion.

High Energy: Destiny, fate, good fortune, ending stagnant cycles, positive change, lucky breaks, serendipity, karmic lessons, and honoring life's natural rhythms.
Low Energy: Doing the same thing while expecting a different result, frustrating delays, misfortune, unexpected setbacks, holding on to what must fall away, and the fear of change.

The Medicine: When The Wheel of Fortune turns in a reading, the universe invites you to roll with the changes, trust the broader picture, and embrace the truth that change is our only constant. To claim your destiny, you must be willing to let old cycles complete their course.

The Wheel of Fortune’s Mantra: "I trust the changing cycles of my life and embrace the new turnings of my destiny."

🎨 Card 11: Justice

Justice represents absolute truth, fairness, and personal accountability. She brings a clear-eyed reckoning with cause and effect. As Card 11, she symbolizes emotional and practical balance, logical choices, legal matters, and karmic equilibrium.

High Energy: Truth, cause and effect, positive karma, fairness, natural law, integrity, balanced resolutions, legal clarity, and the assurance that harmony will be restored.
Low Energy: Injustice, retribution, dishonesty, unfair circumstances, dodging consequences, lack of personal responsibility, and corruption.

The Medicine: When Justice appears, she advises you to seek total balance, practice radical honesty, and act with unyielding integrity. Weigh your facts objectively, take accountability for your part in the equation, and trust that cosmic equilibrium is restoring order to your situation.

Justice’s Mantra: "I walk in truth and integrity, knowing that cosmic balance is always restored."
