My Calling to Service: Holistic End-of-Life Support and Legacy Planning

Merry Morning & Moon Sweet Friends,

Having served as a caregiver for over 15 years, I have walked beside the elderly and the mentally and physically challenged. Through those years, I’ve learned a profound truth: no matter our age or capacity, we all share the same human emotions.

In my time caregiving, I discovered three common fears that many of us carry regarding our End-of-Life Journey: the fear of being alone, the fear of the unknown, and the fear of being forgotten.

It was these three fears that called me to become a Death Doula. I felt a deep pull to provide emotional and spiritual support for those transitioning and for the loved ones who walk with them. While my role is one of listening and comforting, I believe my true strength lies in preparing for and celebrating this Beautiful Life.

The Journey of Support: My Death Doula Services

My work is divided into four sacred pillars, ensuring that every individual feels seen, safe, and honored.

1. Consultation: Understanding Your Soul’s Story

Every journey begins with a conversation. I meet with you and your loved ones to understand your needs, beliefs, and feelings. My goal is to understand who you are so we can decide together how you want to be celebrated and remembered.

If you aren't sure how you want to mark this transition, that is what I am here for. We explore what you loved, what inspired you, and the legacy you wish to leave behind.

2. Celebrating Your Beautiful Life

I believe we should celebrate our lives every chance we get, especially during the end-of-life journey. I assist families in planning:

  • Living Funerals: A gathering of friends and family while you are still able to share stories and laughter with them.

  • Custom Memorials: A post-transition service designed to be a true reflection of your unique spirit.

3. Leaving a Sacred Legacy

One of the most powerful ways to ease the fear of being forgotten is through Legacy Projects. I help you prepare:

  • Special Occasion Cards: Birthday or anniversary cards signed by you now, to be sent to your loved ones on those special dates in the future.

  • Calling Candles: A beautiful ritual where you leave a letter and a candle for your family, reminding them that you are only a "candle call" away.

  • Sentimental Mementos: Organizing and gifting meaningful items to specific people in your life.

4. The Sacred Vigil & After Care

During the final moments, I provide a Vigil Presence. I hold space, read, listen, and offer a calming energy. My presence allows family members to take a necessary break, knowing their loved one is not alone.

After the transition, my service continues. I reach out to offer comfort to the family, deliver your prepared legacy cards and mementos, and ensure your final wishes are carried out with love.

A Future of Comfort and Connection

I hope that through this work, you and your loved ones feel supported throughout every step of the journey.
